Thomas Joseph O’Connor IV, left us May 6, 2013. Thomas was born on June 18, 1976, in Suffolk. He will always be loved and deeply missed by his parents, Tim and Helen Johnson, his father, Tommy O’Connor, his brothers, Jamie and Jett Johnson, his sister, Sadie O’Connor, and his living grandmothers, Alice O’Connor and Anna Johnson. Thomas will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as dear friends, the latter of which there are too many to count.

Thomas graduated from Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in 1994, before going on to study at James Madison University. Thomas came from a family with a long tradition of Scouting. He grew up in Troop 1, years later receiving his own Eagle Scout Award from Troop 30. Always the avid outdoorsman, Thomas lived and worked on the water on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and, most of all, spending time with his friends and family.

In cherishing his memory, this fund has been established in order to provide financial resources for needy Scouts in the Suffolk, VA area to attend summer camp each year.

Please consider donating to this fund to keep the memories of Thomas alive and to support the cause of the Boy Scouts of America.

  1. What a wonderful person Thomas O’Conner was. I am so glad to be able to give to such a great cause in his memory. His memory will always live on through this memorial fund by helping the lives of young boys in scouting.
